UTEP Miners vs UTSA Roadrunners Wrap - UTSA Wins 52-21
Frank Harris led the way with 312 passing yards on Saturday as the Roadrunners picked up a 52-21 victory over the Miners at Alamodome.
UTSA was the ATS victor, as they covered the -5.5-point spread as a favorite. Over-Under bettors who played OVER the total of 45.0 were rewarded at the payout window.
Frank Harris completed 22 of 26 pass attempts for 312 yards for the Roadrunners in the win.
Deion Hankins rushed for 74 yards for UTEP, while Ronald Awatt added 21 yards. Gavin Hardison threw for 159 yards for the Miners, while receivers Jacob Cowing and Justin Garrett had 58 and 53 yards respectively.
UTEP lost the offensive yardage battle to UTSA 600-246 yards in Saturday's game. UTSA had more first downs as that total ended up 29-13.
UTEP lost the time of possession battle 32:52-27:08, leaving their defense on the field more than they wanted.
Next game, UTSA takes its act on the road to face Southern Miss looking for another win. For UTEP, they head on the road to face Rice.
