SMU Mustangs vs Temple Owls Wrap - SMU Wins 47-23
Shane Buechele led the way with 355 passing yards on Saturday as the Mustangs picked up a 47-23 victory over the Owls at Lincoln Financial Field.
SMU won and also put money in the pockets of their supporters by covering the -17.0-point spread as favorites. Totals bettors, meanwhile, saw the game go OVER the closing number of 63.5.
Shane Buechele completed 24 of 35 pass attempts for 355 yards for the Mustangs in the win.
Re-al Mitchell rushed for 66 yards for Temple, while Tayvon Ruley added 66 yards. Re-al Mitchell threw for 82 yards for the Owls, while receivers Randle Jones and De'Von Fox had 86 and 46 yards respectively.
SMU outgained Temple 549-368 yards in the game, while the battle of first downs was won 24-19 by the Mustangs.
Temple led the time of possession tally, as the game finished as a 35:05-24:55 split in that important category.
