Recap - Rainbow Warriors Defeat New Mexico 39-33

Chevan Cordeiro's 410-yard performance through the air was the key in Hawaii's 39-33 win over New Mexico on Saturday at Hawaiian Airlines Field at Aloha Stadium.

The Rainbow Warriors earned a straight-up victory but suffered an ATS defeat in failing to cover the -13.0-point spread. Over-Under bettors who played OVER the total of 66.5 were rewarded with a winning wager.

Chevan Cordeiro completed 33 of 43 pass attempts for 410 yards for the Rainbow Warriors in the win.

Bobby Cole rushed for 96 yards for New Mexico, while Nathaniel Jones added 96 yards. Tevaka Tuioti threw for 181 yards for the Lobos, while receivers Jordan Kress and Emmanuel Logan-Greene had 93 and 52 yards respectively.

New Mexico was outgained by Hawaii 503-499 yards in Saturday's match, while the important battle of first downs was won 24-23 by the Lobos.

Hawaii lost the time of possession battle 32:22-27:38, leaving their defense on the field more than they wanted.

Hawaii looks to continue their winning ways next game with a battle against San Diego State. New Mexico will aim to get back on the winning track vs. Nevada.
