Louisiana-Monroe Falls 35-30 to Eagles - Recap

Georgia Southern got a 196-yard performance from J.D. King as a key part of its 35-30 victory over the Warhawks on Saturday at JPS Field at James L. Malone Stadium.

The Eagles earned a straight-up victory but suffered an ATS defeat in failing to cover the -18.5-point spread. Over-Under bettors who played OVER the total of 49.5 were rewarded with a winning wager.

J.D. King rushed for 196 yards, while Wesley Kennedy III added 64 yards in the win. Beau Johnson and Darion Anderson added 17 and 7 receiving yards respectively.

Colby Suits rushed for 51 yards for Louisiana-Monroe, while Josh Johnson added 40 yards. Colby Suits threw for 334 yards for the Warhawks, while receivers Tyler Lamm and Jevin Frett had 66 and 58 yards respectively.

Louisiana-Monroe outgained Georgia Southern 426-369 yards in the game, while the battle of first downs was won 24-19 by the Warhawks.

Georgia Southern led the time of possession tally, as the game finished as a 34:53-25:07 split in that important category.

Georgia Southern looks to continue their winning ways next game with a battle against Appalachian State. Louisiana-Monroe will aim to get back on the winning track at Liberty.
