Trojans Fall 20-17 Against Middle Tennessee - Game Recap

Middle Tennessee earned a 20-17 victory over Troy on Saturday in Week 12 action at Larry Blakeney Field at Veterans Memorial Stadium.

The Blue Raiders were a +10.5-point underdog in the win, and managed to turn a profit for their supporters. The combined score dipped UNDER the total, which closed at 60.5.

Asher O'Hara rushed for 86 yards, while Chaton Mobley added 57 yards in the win. Yusuf Ali and Jarrin Pierce added 90 and 43 receiving yards respectively.

B.J. Smith rushed for 62 yards for Troy, while Jamontez Woods added 38 yards. Gunnar Watson threw for 300 yards for the Trojans, while receivers Khalil McClain and Tez Johnson had 92 and 63 yards respectively.

Troy was outgained by Middle Tennessee 396-392 yards in Saturday's match, while the important battle of first downs was won 23-18 by the Blue Raiders.

The time of possession battle favored Middle Tennessee as their offense was on the field for 37:21, longer than the 22:39 of their opponents.

Middle Tennessee looks to continue their winning ways next game with a battle against Florida Atlantic. Troy will aim to get back on the winning track at Appalachian State.
