Stephen F. Austin Falls 56-14 to Tigers - Recap
The Lumberjacks were burned by Calvin Austin III for 173 receiving yards on Saturday as the Tigers picked up a 56-14 win at Liberty Bowl Memorial.
Memphis won and also put money in the pockets of their supporters by covering the -31.0-point spread as favorites. Totals bettors, meanwhile, saw the game go OVER the closing number of 61.5.
Kylan Watkins rushed for 100 yards, while Marquavius Weaver added 94 yards in the win. Calvin Austin III and Tahj Washington added 173 and 48 receiving yards respectively.
Jaquarion Turner rushed for 22 yards for Stephen F. Austin, while Remi Simmons added 18 yards. Trae Self threw for 124 yards for the Lumberjacks, while receivers Xavier Gipson and Jeremiah Miller had 74 and 35 yards respectively.
Stephen F. Austin lost the offensive yardage battle to Memphis 574-224 yards in Saturday's game. Memphis had more first downs as that total ended up 25-11.
