Fresno State Bulldogs vs Oregon Ducks Recap - Ducks Win 31-24

The Ducks were Week 1 winners on Saturday, coming out on top of the Bulldogs by a score of 31-24 at Autzen Stadium.

The Ducks won the battle on the scoreboard, but not at the payout window as they failed to cover the -18.0-point spread. UNDER bettors were rewarded when the final score pointed to an UNDER play.

CJ Verdell rushed for 74 yards, while Travis Dye added 64 yards in the win. Johnny Johnson III and Mycah Pittman added 76 and 40 receiving yards respectively.

Jordan Mims rushed for 47 yards for Fresno State, while Ronnie Rivers added 40 yards. Jake Haener threw for 298 yards for the Bulldogs, while receivers Keric Wheatfall and Josh Kelly had 76 and 72 yards respectively.

Oregon lost the offensive yardage battle to Fresno State 373-358 yards in Saturday's game. Fresno State had more first downs as that total ended up 23-20.

The time of possession battle favored Fresno State as their offense was on the field for 30:33, longer than the 29:27 of their opponents.

Next game, Oregon takes its act on the road to face Ohio State looking for another win. For Fresno State, they head home to face Cal Poly.
