Troy Falls 21-13 to Flames - Recap
The Flames grabbed a Week 2 victory over the Trojans on Saturday, winning 21-13 at Larry Blakeney Field at Veterans Memorial Stadium.
The Flames were a -3.0-point favorite in the win, and managed to turn a profit for their supporters. The combined score dipped UNDER the total, which closed at 62.5.
Malik Willis rushed for 93 yards, while T.J Green added 56 yards in the win. Demario Douglas and DJ Stubbs added 41 and 34 receiving yards respectively.
Kimani Vidal rushed for 38 yards for Troy, while B.J. Smith added 17 yards. Taylor Powell threw for 211 yards for the Trojans, while receivers Luke Whittemore and Kimani Vidal had 71 and 37 yards respectively.
Troy lost the offensive yardage battle to Liberty 339-232 yards in Saturday's game. Liberty had more first downs as that total ended up 22-13.
Liberty led the time of possession tally, as the game finished as a 38:59-21:01 split in that important category.
Liberty heads into a 3 battle against Old Dominion. Troy, meanwhile, will have their next action against Southern Miss.
