Texas Falls 40-21 to Razorbacks - Recap

The Longhorns came up short against the Razorbacks in Week 2 action on Saturday, falling 40-21 at Donald W. Reynolds Razorback Stadium.

Arkansas was an underdog by +6.0 points and came through with an ATS victory for bettors. The game went OVER the consensus closing total of 56.5.

Trelon Smith rushed for 75 yards, while KJ Jefferson added 73 yards in the win. Tyson Morris and Treylon Burks added 45 and 37 receiving yards respectively.

Bijan Robinson rushed for 69 yards for Texas, while Casey Thompson added 44 yards. Hudson Card threw for 61 yards for the Longhorns, while receivers Xavier Worthy and Jordan Whittington had 41 and 32 yards respectively.

Arkansas outgained Texas 471-256 yards in the game, while the battle of first downs was won 21-15 by the Razorbacks.

Texas lost the time of possession battle 31:03-28:57, leaving their defense on the field more than they wanted.

Next game, Arkansas takes its act home to face Georgia Southern looking for another win. For Texas, they head home to face Rice.
