Buckeyes Fall 35-28 Against Oregon - Game Recap

The Buckeyes had no answer for CJ Verdell on Saturday as the Ducks rolled to a 35-28 win at Ohio Stadium.

Oregon won and also put money in the pockets of their supporters by covering the +15.0-point spread as underdogs. Totals bettors, meanwhile, saw the game go UNDER the closing number of 65.0.

CJ Verdell rushed for 161 yards, while Anthony Brown added 65 yards in the win. CJ Verdell and Spencer Webb added 34 and 32 receiving yards respectively.

Miyan Williams rushed for 77 yards for Ohio State, while TreVeyon Henderson added 54 yards. C.J. Stroud threw for 484 yards for the Buckeyes, while receivers Jaxon Smith-Njigba and Chris Olave had 145 and 126 yards respectively.

Oregon lost the offensive yardage battle to Ohio State 612-505 yards in Saturday's game. Ohio State had more first downs as that total ended up 32-27.

Ohio State led the time of possession tally, as the game finished as a 30:14-29:46 split in that important category.

Oregon looks to continue their winning ways next game with a battle against Stony Brook. Ohio State will aim to get back on the winning track vs. Tulsa.
