Recap - Fighting Irish Defeat Wisconsin 41-13
The battle between the Fighting Irish and Badgers didn't turn out to be much of a battle at all as Wisconsin was handed a 41-13 defeat on Saturday at Soldier Field.
Notre Dame won and also put money in the pockets of their supporters by covering the +6.0-point spread as underdogs. Totals bettors, meanwhile, saw the game go OVER the closing number of 43.5.
Kyren Williams rushed for 33 yards, while Chris Tyree added 6 yards in the win. Kevin Austin Jr. and Michael Mayer added 76 and 61 receiving yards respectively.
Chez Mellusi rushed for 54 yards for Wisconsin, while Jalen Berger added 8 yards. Graham Mertz threw for 240 yards for the Badgers, while receivers Kendric Pryor and Danny Davis III had 69 and 64 yards respectively.
Notre Dame was outgained by Wisconsin 314-242 yards in Saturday's match, while the important battle of first downs was won 17-16 by the Fighting Irish.
The time of possession battle favored Notre Dame as their offense was on the field for 31:36, longer than the 28:24 of their opponents.
Next game, Notre Dame takes its act home to face Cincinnati looking for another win. For Wisconsin, they head home to face Michigan.
