Cougars Down Navy 28-20 - Match Report
Houston earned a 28-20 victory over Navy on Saturday in Week 4 action at TDECU Stadium.
The Cougars won the battle on the scoreboard, but not at the payout window as they failed to cover the -20.0-point spread. OVER bettors were rewarded when the final score pointed to an OVER play.
Alton McCaskill rushed for 74 yards, while Ta'Zhawn Henry added 54 yards in the win. Christian Trahan and Marcus Jones added 65 and 58 receiving yards respectively.
Xavier Arline rushed for 64 yards for Navy, while Isaac Ruoss added 55 yards. Maasai Maynor threw for 15 yards for the Midshipmen, while receivers Mychal Cooper and Mark Walker had 83 and 15 yards respectively.
Navy lost the offensive yardage battle to Houston 384-300 yards in Saturday's game. Houston had more first downs as that total ended up 20-16.
Houston lost the time of possession battle 33:21-25:53, leaving their defense on the field more than they wanted.
Next game, Houston takes its act on the road to face Tulsa looking for another win. For Navy, they head home to face UCF.
