Marshall Falls 34-28 to Blue Raiders - Recap

Chaton Mobley ran for 132 yards as Middle Tennessee handled Marshall by a score of 34-28 on Saturday at Johnny (Red) Floyd Stadium.

The Blue Raiders were a +10.5-point underdog in the win, and managed to turn a profit for their supporters. The combined score dipped UNDER the total, which closed at 66.0.

Chaton Mobley rushed for 132 yards, while Chase Cunningham added 22 yards in the win. Jaylin Lane and Izaiah Gathings added 34 and 22 receiving yards respectively.

Rasheen Ali rushed for 113 yards for Marshall, while Knowledge McDaniel added 39 yards. Grant Wells threw for 321 yards for the Thundering Herd, while receivers Corey Gammage and Willie Johnson had 81 and 76 yards respectively.

Middle Tennessee was outgained by Marshall 493-314 yards in Saturday's match, while the important battle of first downs was won 28-16 by the Thundering Herd.

Marshall lost the time of possession battle 30:59-26:45, leaving their defense on the field more than they wanted.

Middle Tennessee heads into a Week 6 battle against Liberty. Marshall, meanwhile, will have their next action against Old Dominion.
