Chippewas Down Ohio 30-27 - Match Report
Central Michigan got a 186-yard performance from Lew Nichols III as a key part of its 30-27 victory over the Bobcats on Saturday at Peden Stadium.
The Chippewas earned a straight-up victory but suffered an ATS defeat in failing to cover the -5.0-point spread. Over-Under bettors who played UNDER the total of 57.5 were rewarded with a winning wager.
Lew Nichols III rushed for 186 yards, while Marion Lukes added 13 yards in the win. Dallas Dixon and Kalil Pimpleton added 91 and 78 receiving yards respectively.
De'Montre Tuggle rushed for 83 yards for Ohio, while Sieh Bangura added 40 yards. Armani Rogers threw for 190 yards for the Bobcats, while receivers Cameron Odom and Miles Cross had 88 and 47 yards respectively.
Ohio was outgained by Central Michigan 461-369 yards in Saturday's match, while the important battle of first downs was won 23-22 by the Chippewas.
Ohio led the time of possession tally, as the game finished as a 33:27-26:33 split in that important category.
Next game, Central Michigan takes its act home to face Toledo looking for another win. For Ohio, they head on the road to face Buffalo.
