Recap - Badgers Defeat Illinois 24-0
The Fighting Illini had no answer for Chez Mellusi on Saturday as the Badgers rolled to a 24-0 win at Memorial Stadium.
Wisconsin won and also put money in the pockets of their supporters by covering the -12.5-point spread as favorites. Totals bettors, meanwhile, saw the game go UNDER the closing number of 42.0.
Chez Mellusi rushed for 145 yards, while Braelon Allen added 131 yards in the win. Kendric Pryor and Chimere Dike added 47 and 22 receiving yards respectively.
Chase Brown rushed for 35 yards for Illinois, while Josh McCray added 1 yards. Brandon Peters threw for 12 yards for the Fighting Illini, while receivers Isaiah Williams and Donny Navarro III had 23 and 16 yards respectively.
Illinois lost the offensive yardage battle to Wisconsin 491-93 yards in Saturday's game. Wisconsin had more first downs as that total ended up 30-9.
Wisconsin led the time of possession tally, as the game finished as a 42:43-17:17 split in that important category.
Wisconsin looks to continue their winning ways next game with a battle against Army. Illinois will aim to get back on the winning track at Penn State.
