Bulldogs Fall 40-14 Against Boise State - Game Recap

Boise State got a 117-yard performance from George Holani as a key part of its 40-14 victory over the Bulldogs on Saturday at Bulldog Stadium.

Boise State won and also put money in the pockets of their supporters by covering the +4.0-point spread as underdogs. Totals bettors, meanwhile, saw the game go UNDER the closing number of 61.0.

George Holani rushed for 117 yards, while Cyrus Habibi-Likio added 38 yards in the win. George Holani and Khalil Shakir added 69 and 67 receiving yards respectively.

Ronnie Rivers rushed for 79 yards for Fresno State, while Malik Sherrod added 22 yards. Jake Haener threw for 279 yards for the Bulldogs, while receivers Keric Wheatfall and Josh Kelly had 81 and 76 yards respectively.

Fresno State lost the offensive yardage battle to Boise State 470-356 yards in Saturday's game. Boise State had more first downs as that total ended up 24-18.

The time of possession battle favored Boise State as their offense was on the field for 36:09, longer than the 23:51 of their opponents.

Boise State looks to continue their winning ways next game with a battle against Wyoming. Fresno State will aim to get back on the winning track vs. New Mexico.
