Wolfpack vs Tar Heels Final: 34-30 - Recap
The Tar Heels were burned by Emeka Emezie for 112 receiving yards on Friday as the Wolfpack picked up a 34-30 win at Carter-Finley Stadium.
NC State did not, however, defeat the Tar Heels against the spread, which closed at -5.0 at most sportsbooks. Totals bettors, meanwhile, saw the game go OVER the closing number of 61.5.
Zonovan Knight rushed for 69 yards, while Ricky Person Jr. added 63 yards in the win. Emeka Emezie and Zonovan Knight added 112 and 58 receiving yards respectively.
British Brooks rushed for 124 yards for North Carolina, while Sam Howell added 98 yards. Sam Howell threw for 147 yards for the Tar Heels, while receivers Josh Downs and Justin Olson had 75 and 28 yards respectively.
NC State was outgained by North Carolina 444-360 yards in Friday's match, while the important battle of first downs was won 22-21 by the Tar Heels.
The time of possession battle favored NC State as their offense was on the field for 30:37, longer than the 29:23 of their opponents.
