Recap - Bulldogs Defeat UTEP 31-24

Jordan Mims ran for 165 yards as Fresno State handled UTEP by a score of 31-24 on Saturday at University Stadium.

The Bulldogs won the battle on the scoreboard, but not at the payout window as they failed to cover the -13.5-point spread. PUSH bettors were rewarded when the final score pointed to an PUSH play.

Jordan Mims rushed for 165 yards, while Jalen Cropper added 16 yards in the win. Jalen Cropper and Jordan Mims added 72 and 71 receiving yards respectively.

Ronald Awatt rushed for 40 yards for UTEP, while Deion Hankins added 33 yards. Calvin Brownholtz threw for 51 yards for the Miners, while receivers Tyrin Smith and Reynaldo Flores had 61 and 53 yards respectively.

UTEP lost the offensive yardage battle to Fresno State 467-401 yards in Saturday's game. Fresno State had more first downs as that total ended up 26-18.

Fresno State led the time of possession tally, as the game finished as a 34:43-25:16 split in that important category.
