Recap - Gators Defeat Missouri 24-17
The Tigers came up short against the Gators in Week 6 action on Saturday, falling 24-17 at Florida Field at Ben Hill Griffin Stadium.
Florida did not, however, defeat the Tigers against the spread, which closed at -10.5 at most sportsbooks. Totals bettors, meanwhile, saw the game go UNDER the closing number of 53.0.
Montrell Johnson Jr. rushed for 86 yards, while Trevor Etienne added 83 yards in the win. Justin Shorter and Dante Zanders added 20 and 12 receiving yards respectively.
Nathaniel Peat rushed for 117 yards for Missouri, while Cody Schrader added 17 yards. Brady Cook threw for 220 yards for the Tigers, while receivers Mookie Cooper and Dominic Lovett had 58 and 39 yards respectively.
Florida was outgained by Missouri 370-297 yards in Saturday's match, while the important battle of first downs was won 21-13 by the Tigers.
The time of possession battle favored Missouri as their offense was on the field for 36:09, longer than the 23:51 of their opponents.
Next game, Florida takes its act home to face LSU looking for another win. For Missouri, they head home to face Vanderbilt.
