Commodores Fall 17-14 Against Missouri - Game Recap

Missouri earned a 17-14 victory over Vanderbilt on Saturday in Week 8 action at Memorial Stadium at Faurot Field.

Missouri did not, however, defeat the Commodores against the spread, which closed at -14.0 at most sportsbooks. Totals bettors, meanwhile, saw the game go UNDER the closing number of 49.0.

Cody Schrader rushed for 84 yards, while Luther Burden III added 10 yards in the win. Luther Burden III and Tauskie Dove added 66 and 46 receiving yards respectively.

Ray Davis rushed for 28 yards for Vanderbilt, while Patrick Smith added 18 yards. Mike Wright threw for 127 yards for the Commodores, while receivers Gamarion Carter and Quincy Skinner Jr. had 80 and 46 yards respectively.

Vanderbilt was outgained by Missouri 308-299 yards in Saturday's match, while the important battle of first downs was won 19-16 by the Tigers.

The time of possession battle favored Vanderbilt as their offense was on the field for 31:03, longer than the 28:57 of their opponents.

Missouri heads into a Week 9 battle against South Carolina. Vanderbilt, meanwhile, will have their next action against South Carolina.
