Clemson Tigers vs Wake Forest Demon Deacons Wrap - Clemson Wins 51-45
DJ Uiagalelei threw for 371 yards to lead the Tigers over Wake Forest 51-45 on Saturday in Week 4 action at Truist Field.
Clemson did not, however, defeat the Demon Deacons against the spread, which closed at -7.5 at most sportsbooks. Totals bettors, meanwhile, saw the game go OVER the closing number of 58.0.
DJ Uiagalelei completed 26 of 41 pass attempts for 371 yards for the Tigers in the win.
Justice Ellison rushed for 73 yards for Wake Forest, while Christian Turner added 27 yards. Sam Hartman threw for 337 yards for the Demon Deacons, while receivers Jahmal Banks and Donavon Greene had 141 and 53 yards respectively.
Wake Forest lost the offensive yardage battle to Clemson 559-447 yards in Saturday's game. Wake Forest had more first downs as that total ended up 28-25.
Clemson led the time of possession tally, as the game finished as a 37:34-22:26 split in that important category.
Clemson looks to continue their winning ways next game with a battle against NC State. Wake Forest will aim to get back on the winning track at Florida State.
