Louisville Falls 31-16 to Tigers - Recap

The Cardinals had no answer for Phil Mafah on Saturday as the Tigers rolled to a 31-16 win at Memorial Stadium.

Clemson was the ATS victor, as they covered the -7.0-point spread as a favorite. Over-Under bettors who played UNDER the total of 52.0 were rewarded at the payout window.

Phil Mafah rushed for 106 yards, while Will Shipley added 97 yards in the win. Antonio Williams and Jake Briningstool added 83 and 32 receiving yards respectively.

Jawhar Jordan rushed for 73 yards for Louisville, while Maurice Turner added 36 yards. Brock Domann threw for 175 yards for the Cardinals, while receivers Tyler Hudson and Braden Smith had 163 and 46 yards respectively.

Louisville was outgained by Clemson 439-400 yards in Saturday's match, while the important battle of first downs was won 26-15 by the Tigers.

Louisville lost the time of possession battle 31:33-28:09, leaving their defense on the field more than they wanted.

Next game, Clemson takes its act home to face Miami-FL looking for another win. For Louisville, they head home to face NC State.
