UTEP Falls 27-10 to Lobos - Recap
The Lobos were Week 3 winners on Saturday, coming out on top of the Miners by a score of 27-10 at University Stadium.
New Mexico won and also put money in the pockets of their supporters by covering the +2.0-point spread as underdogs. Totals bettors, meanwhile, saw the game go UNDER the closing number of 38.0.
Nathaniel Jones rushed for 83 yards, while Christian Washington added 57 yards in the win. Luke Wysong and Sherod White added 37 and 35 receiving yards respectively.
Ronald Awatt rushed for 35 yards for UTEP, while Deion Hankins added 31 yards. Gavin Hardison threw for 199 yards for the Miners, while receivers Tyrin Smith and Reynaldo Flores had 83 and 36 yards respectively.
UTEP lost the time of possession battle 36:33-23:27, leaving their defense on the field more than they wanted.
New Mexico looks to continue their winning ways next game with a battle against LSU. UTEP will aim to get back on the winning track vs. Boise State.
