Recap - Rebels Defeat New Mexico 31-20
The Rebels grabbed a Week 5 victory over the Lobos on Friday, winning 31-20 at Allegiant Stadium.
UNLV won on the scoreboard, but lost at the pay window as they failed to cover the -14.0-point spread. The game went OVER the consensus closing total of 44.5.
Aidan Robbins rushed for 79 yards, while Courtney Reese added 25 yards in the win. Senika McKie and Kalvin Souders added 72 and 57 receiving yards respectively.
Nathaniel Jones rushed for 61 yards for New Mexico, while Miles Kendrick added 30 yards. Miles Kendrick threw for 163 yards for the Lobos, while receivers Geordan Porter and Trae Hall had 117 and 21 yards respectively.
New Mexico was outgained by UNLV 356-277 yards in Friday's match, while the important battle of first downs was won 22-17 by the Rebels.
The time of possession battle favored UNLV as their offense was on the field for 30:18, longer than the 29:16 of their opponents.
Next game, UNLV takes its act on the road to face San Jose State looking for another win. For New Mexico, they head home to face Wyoming.
