Notre Dame Defeats UNLV 44-21 - Recap
UNLV was unable to contain Logan Diggs on Saturday and the result was a 44-21 Week 8 loss against the Fighting Irish.
The Fighting Irish earned a straight-up victory but suffered an ATS defeat in failing to cover the -26.0-point spread. Over-Under bettors who played OVER the total of 46.5 were rewarded with a winning wager.
Logan Diggs rushed for 130 yards, while Chris Tyree added 43 yards in the win. Michael Mayer and Jayden Thomas added 115 and 40 receiving yards respectively.
Courtney Reese rushed for 142 yards for UNLV, while Harrison Bailey added 25 yards. Harrison Bailey threw for 73 yards for the Rebels, while receivers Nick Williams and Ricky White had 47 and 41 yards respectively.
UNLV was outgained by Notre Dame 428-299 yards in Saturday's match, while the important battle of first downs was won 23-11 by the Fighting Irish.
The time of possession battle favored Notre Dame as their offense was on the field for 33:58, longer than the 26:02 of their opponents.
Notre Dame heads into a Week 9 battle against Syracuse. UNLV, meanwhile, will have their next action against San Diego State.
