Bearcats vs Owls Final: 23-3 - Recap
Temple couldn't hang with the Bearcats on Saturday as Cincinnati blasted the Owls 23-3 in Week 12 action at Lincoln Financial Field.
Cincinnati won and also put money in the pockets of their supporters by covering the -17.0-point spread as favorites. Totals bettors, meanwhile, saw the game go UNDER the closing number of 48.5.
Ryan Montgomery rushed for 58 yards, while Corey Kiner added 36 yards in the win. Tre Tucker and Josh Whyle added 78 and 70 receiving yards respectively.
Darvon Hubbard rushed for 30 yards for Temple, while Edward Saydee added 19 yards. E.J. Warner threw for 167 yards for the Owls, while receivers Jordan Smith and Jose Barbon had 40 and 31 yards respectively.
Cincinnati outgained Temple 388-202 yards in the game, while the battle of first downs was won 22-13 by the Bearcats.
Cincinnati led the time of possession tally, as the game finished as a 36:51-23:09 split in that important category.
Cincinnati looks to continue their winning ways next game with a battle against Tulane. Temple will aim to get back on the winning track vs. East Carolina.
