Thundering Herd Fall 16-7 Against Troy - Game Recap

Troy's aerial attack produced 321 yards and the Trojans produced a 16-7 victory over Marshall on Saturday at Larry Blakeney Field at Veterans Memorial Stadium.

Troy was the ATS victor, as they covered the +3.0-point spread as an underdog. Over-Under bettors who played UNDER the total of 51.5 were rewarded at the payout window.

Gunnar Watson completed 15 of 25 pass attempts for 321 yards for the Trojans in the win.

Khalan Laborn rushed for 118 yards for Marshall, while A.J. Turner added 10 yards. Cam Fancher threw for 29 yards for the Thundering Herd, while receivers Caleb McMillan and Talik Keaton had 37 and 18 yards respectively.

Marshall lost the offensive yardage battle to Troy 421-174 yards in Saturday's game. Marshall had more first downs as that total ended up 15-13.

The time of possession battle favored Marshall as their offense was on the field for 30:56, longer than the 29:04 of their opponents.

Troy looks to continue their winning ways next game with a battle against WKU. Marshall will aim to get back on the winning track vs. Gardner-Webb.
