South Alabama Defeats Arkansas State 31-3 - Recap

The Red Wolves had no answer for La'Damian Webb on Saturday as the Jaguars rolled to a 31-3 win at Centennial Bank Stadium.

The Jaguars were a -9.0-point favorite in the win, and managed to turn a profit for their supporters. The combined score dipped UNDER the total, which closed at 52.5.

La'Damian Webb rushed for 162 yards, while Carter Bradley added 17 yards in the win. Jalen Wayne and DJ Thomas-Jones added 83 and 48 receiving yards respectively.

Marcel Murray rushed for 15 yards for Arkansas State, while Johnnie Lang added 14 yards. James Blackman threw for 177 yards for the Red Wolves, while receivers Jeff Foreman and Seydou Traore had 98 and 47 yards respectively.

Arkansas State lost the offensive yardage battle to South Alabama 362-158 yards in Saturday's game. South Alabama had more first downs as that total ended up 16-9.

The time of possession battle favored South Alabama as their offense was on the field for 35:59, longer than the 24:01 of their opponents.

South Alabama looks to continue their winning ways next game with a battle against Georgia Southern. Arkansas State will aim to get back on the winning track vs. Massachusetts.
