Navy Falls 42-3 to Fighting Irish - Recap
Notre Dame cruised to victory on Saturday, as they ran up a 42-3 score against Navy in Week 1 action at Aviva Stadium.
Notre Dame was the ATS victor, as they covered the -20.5-point spread as a favorite. Over-Under bettors who played UNDER the total of 49.5 were rewarded at the payout window.
Audric Estime rushed for 95 yards, while Jeremiyah Love added 40 yards in the win. Jaden Greathouse and Jayden Thomas added 68 and 63 receiving yards respectively.
Alex Tecza rushed for 38 yards for Navy, while Daba Fofana added 32 yards. Xavier Arline threw for 0 yards for the Midshipmen, while receivers Brandon Chatman and Alex Tecza had 41 and 2 yards respectively.
Navy lost the offensive yardage battle to Notre Dame 444-169 yards in Saturday's game. Notre Dame had more first downs as that total ended up 27-12.
The time of possession battle favored Navy as their offense was on the field for 33:14, longer than the 26:46 of their opponents.
Next game, Notre Dame takes its act home to face Tennessee State looking for another win. For Navy, they head home to face Wagner.
