NC State Defeats UCONN 24-14 - Recap

The Wolfpack were Week 1 winners on Thursday, coming out on top of the Huskies by a score of 24-14 at Pratt & Whitney Stadium at Rentschler Field.

The Wolfpack won the battle on the scoreboard, but not at the payout window as they failed to cover the -14.5-point spread. UNDER bettors were rewarded when the final score pointed to an UNDER play.

Brennan Armstrong rushed for 96 yards, while Jordan Houston added 57 yards in the win. Kevin Concepcion and Michael Allen added 36 and 27 receiving yards respectively.

Victor Rosa rushed for 99 yards for UCONN, while Devontae Houston added 24 yards. Joseph Fagnano threw for 113 yards for the Huskies, while receivers Justin Joly and Devontae Houston had 38 and 22 yards respectively.

UCONN lost the offensive yardage battle to NC State 364-273 yards in Thursday's game. NC State had more first downs as that total ended up 23-15.

UCONN lost the time of possession battle 34:00-26:00, leaving their defense on the field more than they wanted.

Next game, NC State takes its act home to face Notre Dame looking for another win. For UCONN, they head on the road to face Georgia State.
