Middle Tennessee Falls 56-7 to Crimson Tide - Recap

The battle between the Crimson Tide and Blue Raiders didn't turn out to be much of a battle at all as Middle Tennessee was handed a 56-7 defeat on Saturday at Bryant-Denny Stadium.

Alabama was the ATS victor, as they covered the -39.0-point spread as a favorite. Over-Under bettors who played OVER the total of 52.5 were rewarded at the payout window.

Jalen Milroe rushed for 48 yards, while Jase McClellan added 39 yards in the win. Isaiah Bond and Jermaine Burton added 76 and 62 receiving yards respectively.

Jekail Middlebrook rushed for 32 yards for Middle Tennessee, while Nicholas Vattiato added 16 yards. Nicholas Vattiato threw for 127 yards for the Blue Raiders, while receivers Jaiden Credle and Jekail Middlebrook had 25 and 21 yards respectively.

Alabama outgained Middle Tennessee 431-211 yards in the game, while the battle of first downs was won 24-13 by the Crimson Tide.

Alabama led the time of possession tally, as the game finished as a 29:03-24:59 split in that important category.

Alabama heads into a Week 2 battle against Texas. Middle Tennessee, meanwhile, will have their next action against Missouri.
