Blue Raiders Fall 31-10 Against WKU - Game Recap
The battle between the Hilltoppers and Blue Raiders didn't turn out to be much of a battle at all as Middle Tennessee was handed a 31-10 defeat on Thursday at Houchens Industries-L.T. Smith Stadium.
WKU won and also put money in the pockets of their supporters by covering the -6.5-point spread as favorites. Totals bettors, meanwhile, saw the game go UNDER the closing number of 61.0.
L.T. Sanders rushed for 83 yards, while Elijah Young added 30 yards in the win. Malachi Corley and Easton Messer added 81 and 43 receiving yards respectively.
Frank Peasant rushed for 76 yards for Middle Tennessee, while Jaiden Credle added 39 yards. Nicholas Vattiato threw for 252 yards for the Blue Raiders, while receivers Justin Olson and Holden Willis had 76 and 70 yards respectively.
WKU outgained Middle Tennessee 444-373 yards in the game, while the battle of first downs was won 22-20 by the Hilltoppers.
WKU led the time of possession tally, as the game finished as a 31:53-28:07 split in that important category.
Next game, WKU takes its act on the road to face LA Tech looking for another win. For Middle Tennessee, they head home to face Jacksonville State.
