Marshall Falls 48-41 to Wolfpack - Recap
Marshall was unable to slow down Kevin Concepcion, who produced 102 receiving yards as the Wolfpack defeated the Thundering Herd 48-41 on Saturday.
The Wolfpack were a -6.5-point favorite in the win, and managed to turn a profit for their supporters. The combined score went OVER the total, which closed at 44.0.
Michael Allen rushed for 70 yards, while Delbert Mimms III added 65 yards in the win. Kevin Concepcion and Trent Pennix added 102 and 99 receiving yards respectively.
Rasheen Ali rushed for 63 yards for Marshall, while Cam Fancher added 25 yards. Cam Fancher threw for 315 yards for the Thundering Herd, while receivers Darryle Simmons and Caleb Coombs had 87 and 47 yards respectively.
Marshall outgained NC State 419-401 yards in the game, while the battle of first downs was won 22-16 by the Thundering Herd.
NC State lost the time of possession battle 32:44-27:16, leaving their defense on the field more than they wanted.
NC State looks to continue their winning ways next game with a battle against Duke. Marshall will aim to get back on the winning track at Georgia State.
