Jacksonville State Falls 31-13 to Flames - Recap

Quinton Cooley tore up the turf for 163 rushing yards on Tuesday to lead the Flames to a 31-13 win over the Gamecocks at Burgess-Snow Field at JSU Stadium.

The Flames were a -7.0-point favorite in the win, and managed to turn a profit for their supporters. The combined score dipped UNDER the total, which closed at 60.0.

Quinton Cooley rushed for 163 yards, while Billy Lucas added 32 yards in the win. Treon Sibley and Aaron Bedgood added 65 and 41 receiving yards respectively.

Anwar Lewis rushed for 81 yards for Jacksonville State, while Ashton Frye added 23 yards. Zion Webb threw for 18 yards for the Gamecocks, while receivers Perry Carter and Jordan McCants had 83 and 28 yards respectively.

Jacksonville State lost the offensive yardage battle to Liberty 422-324 yards in Tuesday's game. Liberty had more first downs as that total ended up 25-20.

Liberty led the time of possession tally, as the game finished as a 37:43-22:17 split in that important category.

Next game, Liberty takes its act home to face Middle Tennessee looking for another win. For Jacksonville State, they head home to face WKU.
