Ohio Falls 23-13 to Huskies - Recap
The Huskies grabbed a Week 7 victory over the Bobcats on Saturday, winning 23-13 at Brigham Field at Huskie Stadium.
NIU won and also put money in the pockets of their supporters by covering the +5.5-point spread as underdogs. Totals bettors, meanwhile, saw the game go UNDER the closing number of 45.0.
Gavin Williams rushed for 55 yards, while Antario Brown added 34 yards in the win. Grayson Barnes and Davis Patterson added 66 and 35 receiving yards respectively.
O'Shaan Allison rushed for 43 yards for Ohio, while Sieh Bangura added 34 yards. Kurtis Rourke threw for 159 yards for the Bobcats, while receivers Sam Wiglusz and Tyler Foster had 37 and 30 yards respectively.
Ohio was outgained by NIU 302-254 yards in Saturday's match, while the important battle of first downs was won 16-14 by the Bobcats.
Ohio lost the time of possession battle 31:45-28:15, leaving their defense on the field more than they wanted.
Next game, NIU takes its act home to face Eastern Michigan looking for another win. For Ohio, they head home to face Western Michigan.
