Recap - Gamecocks Defeat WKU 20-17

Jacksonville State got a 146-yard performance from Zion Webb as a key part of its 20-17 victory over the Hilltoppers on Tuesday at Burgess-Snow Field at JSU Stadium.

The Gamecocks were a +7.5-point underdog in the win, and managed to turn a profit for their supporters. The combined score dipped UNDER the total, which closed at 60.5.

Zion Webb rushed for 146 yards, while Anwar Lewis added 85 yards in the win. P.J. Wells and Perry Carter added 53 and 27 receiving yards respectively.

Elijah Young rushed for 39 yards for WKU, while Markese Stepp added 23 yards. Austin Reed threw for 250 yards for the Hilltoppers, while receivers K.D. Hutchinson and River Helms had 52 and 50 yards respectively.

WKU lost the offensive yardage battle to Jacksonville State 484-339 yards in Tuesday's game. Jacksonville State had more first downs as that total ended up 27-16.

WKU lost the time of possession battle 33:04-26:56, leaving their defense on the field more than they wanted.

Jacksonville State looks to continue their winning ways next game with a battle against FIU. WKU will aim to get back on the winning track vs. Liberty.
