Auburn Defeats Vanderbilt 31-15 - Recap

The Commodores had no answer for Jarquez Hunter on Saturday as the Tigers rolled to a 31-15 win at FirstBank Stadium.

Auburn was a favorite by -12.5 points and came through with an ATS victory for bettors. The game went UNDER the consensus closing total of 49.0.

Jarquez Hunter rushed for 183 yards, while Payton Thorne added 40 yards in the win. Ja'Varrius Johnson and Rivaldo Fairweather added 62 and 62 receiving yards respectively.

Sedrick Alexander rushed for 40 yards for Vanderbilt, while AJ Newberry added 26 yards. Ken Seals threw for 160 yards for the Commodores, while receivers Will Sheppard and Junior Sherrill had 43 and 30 yards respectively.

Vanderbilt lost the offensive yardage battle to Auburn 424-266 yards in Saturday's game. Auburn had more first downs as that total ended up 14-12.

The time of possession battle favored Vanderbilt as their offense was on the field for 33:21, longer than the 26:39 of their opponents.

Auburn looks to continue their winning ways next game with a battle against Arkansas. Vanderbilt will aim to get back on the winning track at South Carolina.
