Vanderbilt Falls 47-6 to Gamecocks - Recap

Spencer Rattler threw for 351 yards to lead the Gamecocks over Vanderbilt 47-6 on Saturday in Week 11 action at Williams-Brice Stadium.

Spencer Rattler completed 28 of 36 pass attempts for 351 yards for the Gamecocks in the win.

Walter Taylor rushed for 38 yards for Vanderbilt, while AJ Newberry added 38 yards. Ken Seals threw for 104 yards for the Commodores, while receivers London Humphreys and Quincy Skinner Jr. had 33 and 22 yards respectively.

Vanderbilt was outgained by South Carolina 487-234 yards in Saturday's match, while the important battle of first downs was won 21-17 by the Gamecocks.

South Carolina lost the time of possession battle 32:47-27:13, leaving their defense on the field more than they wanted.

Next game, South Carolina takes its act home to face Kentucky looking for another win. For Vanderbilt, they head on the road to face Tennessee.
