Recap - Trojans Defeat Louisiana-Lafayette 31-24

Kimani Vidal tore up the turf for 112 rushing yards on Saturday to lead the Trojans to a 31-24 win over the Ragin' Cajuns at Larry Blakeney Field at Veterans Memorial Stadium.

Troy won on the scoreboard, but lost at the pay window as they failed to cover the -16.0-point spread. The game went OVER the consensus closing total of 45.5.

Kimani Vidal rushed for 112 yards, while Damien Taylor added 26 yards in the win. Jabre Barber and Devonte Ross added 74 and 47 receiving yards respectively.

Zylan Perry rushed for 44 yards for Louisiana-Lafayette, while Jacob Kibodi added 23 yards. Chandler Fields threw for 282 yards for the Ragin' Cajuns, while receivers Harvey Broussard and Neal Johnson had 54 and 44 yards respectively.

Louisiana-Lafayette lost the offensive yardage battle to Troy 367-348 yards in Saturday's game. Troy had more first downs as that total ended up 23-22.

Troy lost the time of possession battle 31:46-28:14, leaving their defense on the field more than they wanted.

Troy heads into a Week 13 battle against Southern Miss. Louisiana-Lafayette, meanwhile, will have their next action against Louisiana-Monroe.
