Recap - Eagles Defeat Detroit 44-6
The battle between the Eagles and Lions didn't turn out to be much of a battle at all as Detroit was handed a 44-6 defeat on Sunday at Ford Field.
Philadelphia won and also put money in the pockets of their supporters by covering the -3.0-point spread as favorites. Totals bettors, meanwhile, saw the game go OVER the closing number of 48.0.
Jalen Hurts rushed for 71 yards, while Boston Scott added 60 yards in the win. Dallas Goedert and Quez Watkins added 72 and 18 receiving yards respectively.
D'Andre Swift rushed for 27 yards for Detroit, while Godwin Igwebuike added 18 yards. Jared Goff threw for 222 yards for the Lions, while receivers T.J. Hockenson and Amon-Ra St. Brown had 89 and 46 yards respectively.
Detroit was outgained by Philadelphia 350-228 yards in Sunday's match, while the important battle of first downs was won 27-15 by the Eagles.
The time of possession battle favored Philadelphia as their offense was on the field for 35:00, longer than the 25:00 of their opponents.
Next game, Philadelphia takes its act home to face Los Angeles looking for another win. For Detroit, they head on the road to face Pittsburgh.
