Recap - Coyotes Defeat Seattle 5-2

Nick Schmaltz scored a pair of goals against the Kraken as Arizona handed Seattle a 5-2 defeat on Wednesday at Climate Pledge Arena.

Arizona won as a +193 underdog, while Over-Under bettors who played OVER the total of 5.5 were rewarded at the payout window.

Nick Schmaltz(2), Alex Galchenyuk, Phil Kessel, and Anton Stralman each scored for the Coyotes in the victory. Kessel opened the scoring for Arizona.

Karel Vejmelka turned in a 34-save effort for the Coyotes.

Colin Blackwell, and Calle Jarnkrok scored for the Kraken, finding the net behind Karel Vejmelka.

Philipp Grubauer stopped 22 of 25 shots for the Kraken, but it wasn't enough to earn the victory.

On the power play, Arizona went 0-for-2, while the Kraken were 0-for-2 with the man advantage.

Seattle outshot Arizona 36-27 in the game.

Arizona heads into a battle against the Lightning. Seattle, meanwhile, will have their next action against Anaheim.
