Ottawa Skates Past Toronto 5-3 - Recap

The Senators earned a 5-3 victory over the Maple Leafs on Saturday at Canadian Tire Centre.

Shane Pinto, Claude Giroux, Vladimir Tarasenko, Josh Norris, and Ridly Greig each scored for the Senators in the victory. Giroux opened the scoring for Ottawa.

Joonas Korpisalo turned in a 31-save effort for the Senators.

Toronto got goals from Max Domi, Auston Matthews, and Matthew Knies in the loss, but it wasn't enough.

Martin Jones stopped 27 of 31 shots for the Maple Leafs, but it wasn't enough to earn the victory.

On the power play, Ottawa went 0-for-3, while the Maple Leafs were 0-for-0 with the man advantage.

Toronto outshot Ottawa 34-32 in the game.

Ottawa looks to continue their winning ways next game with a battle against the Blue Jackets. The Maple Leafs will aim to get back on the winning track vs. St. Louis.
